Recherché—

It’s a catch-all word to turn away

nagging doubt that one cannot allay—

all critics’ points are recherché.

 

Stunningly, logic is not what it used to be,

if it’s carefully put glibly,

the recherché will get by me.

 

What I think I know, blow by blow,

I’d rather say—

But that takes too long so I’m strongly

What I need to say I cannot say—

Ludwig says I’m silent anyway—

Oh my beliefs are recherché.
